Malama Honua Celebration

On Wednesday, 25 March the whole school went to Point England Reserve to welcome a waka(boat) that came from Hawaii and followed the Manaiakalani stars all the way to New Zealand. I made a Presentation about our day there.

Maths Challenge

Today I played some number knowledge games. I then screenshot them and put it into a collage. It helped me to practice my maths and get faster at it. My next learning steps are to learning my bigger number times tables.

Cricket World Cup Presentation

I found out a lot information about the Cricket World Cup. I then put it in to Google slides so that it is presentable. I found out how cricket was invented and how the game is played. You can read through these slides and learn about cricket too.

What Term 1 Looked For Me

I found all the highlights of the year about term 1 and put it all in a collage. Like from art, to Kiwi sport, to working collaboratively with others.

What Feedback Looks Like

We watched a video about how a boy named Austin who improved his work by using the feedback his friends in his classroom gave him. So we found the parts of giving perfect feedback and put them in a DLO.

I had to make a DLO that would tell people what Multiplication means. So I made a Powtoon that tells you what it means and gives an example.

My Duffy Books

These are my duffy books I ordered at the beginning of the year. I am happy they are finally here. My books are called Horrible histories and Tom Gates Extra special treats(not). I can read them in the holidays to keep my reading skills up.

Maths Strategy: Subtraction

The strategy in this DLO was that is you add a amount of numbers to another, you would have to the same to the other number in the equation so your keeping the right distance between the two numbers.

We thought of all the words that had to do with subtraction. We put it into a Google Drawing so we could display it on the wall.

Spelling Challenge Week 7 Term 1

We were learning how to use a double consonant at the end of a word before using a suffix. We then typed in some compound sentences with a connective and one word with a double consonant and a suffix.

Migration Survey

In our class we pick a person who has migrated from another country to send a survey to. The survey has questions that are about how they came to NZ and the things they left to come to NZ.

ERO at PBS

This week ERO came to our school to see the e-learning students at Panmure Bridge School. On Monday we had an assembly to welcome them to our school.After that we went to the theater so that the school leaders can do a presentation to ERO. Then throughout the week they went to every class to see the fantastic work we have been doing. They were so happy with politeness and presenting we have done.

Art With Graham Dodd

Yesterday the whole school went to do art with Graham Dodd. We learnt how to draw a landscape and the techniques. The topic was about New Zealand culture, Maori and European. We got given a a piece of paper that had dots on it. Then we joined the dots up that made the picture. After that we coloured it in using shading and dark colouring. At the end, everyone's picture turned as a beautiful landscape.
