Making a Chicken Sandwich

Equipment Needed:

• Bread
• Chicken
• Mayonnaise
• Butter

Instructions:

1. Grab the butter and two pieces of bread then start buttering the bread. Make sure you butter both breads.

2. Put the chicken on one bread piece and start spreading it out so that it is covering the whole piece of bread.

3. Go on to the mayonnaise and start spreading that out on to the second piece of bread. Then put the second piece bread on top of the first bread.

Non Fiction Reading Activity

In reading this week, I read a book called Giants.

Here are 5 facts about the book I read:

1. There was a giant and his name was Goliath. He was believed to be 3 meters tall.

2. There was a man named Thor who walked inside a giant.

3. There was a named Gulliver who was both dwarf and giant.

4. An American man was 2 meters an 72 centimeters tall and died in 1940.

5. The tallest woman we know of stood 2 meters at the time of her thirteenth birthday.

There were some interesting words I didn't understand like Brobdingnag which means that a land imagined by Jonathan Swift where everything was enormous.

Monday Quick Write

If I had a awesome tree house it would be in the tallest tree there is. No one will be able to see it because it would be camouflage and only boys will be able to find it. It would be a tree house only for boys. Inside It would have a pool table and hockey table. Four computers, PlayStation 4 and a Wii. The tree house will be a huge tree house. I would give it a name and it would be The Man Cave. 

There will be a secret room that goes into the trunk of the tree and there will be a slide that goes all the way to a lake. I would have a fridge with lots of Coca Cola and Pepsi. Also a pantry filled with Doritos and choc biscuits. We could have tournaments on the PlayStation 4 and play Call of Duty Ghost and Battlefield 4. 

I would have another secret room with loads of paint ball guns. Then me and my friends would go and have competitions to see who has the best accuracy. The tree house would have a laser cage that surrounds the tree house when we leave so no one tries to break in. My imaginary tree house would be the best tree house ever!

My Cultural Art

Here is my art. I used patterns from my culture and that are important to me. You can see I have translated  (slid) the star. I have rotated (turned) the turtle. I have reflected (flipped) the fish. I am really proud of my turtle that I drew because I put my best work into it.

My XtraMath Results

This is my XtraMath results. I am on subtraction and I am trying my best to reach multiplication. I hope next week I can do better and probably get to multiplication.   

Basic Fact Practise.

This week we practiced our basic facts by using online games. I really liked playing Mathman. This game helped my learning by doing my subtraction and division faster.

If I could be any animal it would be a grizzly bear because I would like to hunt for some prey. I would go to the river and catch some fish and eat it. I would also become the worlds first bear actor and be in zoo movies then pretend I can talk. I could be in comedy movies. Then I would be in the circus and be the amazing circus bear. I will do tricks like dance on one foot or try and balance on a ball with one foot also balancing three balls on top of each other on my head.After that I would build me my own house in the woods and watch T.V peacefully in the middle of nowhere.  Then I'll be a magicians volunteer. I will travel to countries and perform in front of millions of people.

Reading Conection

Today I read a story about a group of children that found a map in a bottle. They went searching for the treasure went they found the x that marked the spot. They dug a hole where the x was and there was no treasure. Then two mean boys walked to them and said that the treasure map was fake because they were the ones they made it. This story connects to me because I have been on a treasure hunt with my friends but we didn't find any prize.

Monday Quick Write

The most wonderful place I have ever been is my aunties wedding in Hamilton. My dad and I stayed at a hotel. We had our own rooms and called room service and got lots of food. We also went to the chiefs home stadium and looked around. At the wedding there was lots of decorations. 

There was lots of white ribbons hanging everywhere. The theme colours were purple and white. There was a lot of food. There was mostly desert so my cousins and I took lots of desert and sat outside and ate it. Then there was a performance by my dad and my uncles. They did a Samoan dance and a Tongan dance. 

After that people that stood up and said a speech to the bride and groom. After the wedding my dad bought me Mac Donald's. I thought that was the best place I have ever been
