Hauora Poster

This week room 5 are learning about Hauora. Hauora is like values we have that keep us standing and well balanced. There are four walls to Hauora and are like four walls to a whare(house).

Te Reo Maths

Today we learnt how to add Maori numbers to together. We played a game that gives you two numbers in Maori and you have to add them, then click on the answer. It was very challenging because I knew how to add in English but I got confused when doing it in Maori. It is a very fun and helpful game. Today we picked a Maori god and make a poster about. We had to include its name, their powers/strengths and a link from YouTube.

My Whakatauki

We found out about what is a Whakatauki. It is a saying said often by Maori people and is using about life. We chose one of the Whakatauki and wrote what it meant.
