LS2's Favourite Book Genres
I have surveyed many people in LS2 on what their favourite book genre is. My results were surprisingly unexpected. If you look at the graph you can see I have separated the categories into year 7 and year 8. You can tell a very big difference by looking at the two and comparing them to each other.

Attributing Images - Olympics
For LS2's Class activity. We recapped on attributing images and how it shows respect to the owner of the image by adding a link of where it came from and and who made it. We also had to put in the license of the image so that we had respected copyrights.
Learning about Advertising
Advertising is way of businesses to promote their products. Advertisers persuade their target audience’s into thinking like them and trick people into believing their advertisement.
With LS2's start back in the new term we have started learning about advertisement. We did a dictation run on two paragraphs about advertisements. My group them wrote a 25 word text explaining what we know about advertisements.

ASB Get Wise - Jeremy's Visit
Yesterday, the Year 8's went to the school theatre to meet Jeremy from ASB. Jeremy came to talk to us about being wise with and about money. He told us some very important things in life and how we should always be the best we can. He then showed us a chart that of the different ways to earn money at my age. Things like chores at home, to selling and trading things. Jeremy then pulled up something very important thing that everyone goes through sometime in their life. He called is a cross road, it is when we are going through a situation where we have to pick a path where we want to continue our life through. Jeremy gave us an example of his life growing up and how he to had to think if he is going to go through that easy path, or that hard path where he can actually do something that was good in his life. He also talked to us about growing up and getting your first job. He said that we all should always be the best we can at our job, because you never know when someone is watching you. Also at my age, we should be opening up bank accounts so that we can start saving from a young age and you can never what kind of money you could have in the future. Some sayings which could help you to remember about being wise with money: "Spend some on you, save some too." Speed to your needs, wait for your wants." Jeremy's talk to the year 8's was very inspiring and everyone learnt some thing that they could take from that lesson and think of it throughout their lives.
