This weeks homework was about the Grand Palace in Bangkok.  I worked collaboratively with my partner Eric. We made these three Google Drawings that explain about its history and interesting facts. Also there is a special rule when enter the palace.

Should NZ Change It's Flag?

LS2 discussed about the change of the NZ flag. Our learning intention was to find an informed choice which meant that we had to make an opinion between the two flags and back it up with information. We talked in our thinking groups about our opinions. We then voted for our choice about changing the flag or leaving it.

Baking Soda and Vinegar Experiment

For science we did the baking soda and vinegar experiment. We observed the process and watched to see what would happen when we mixed the two together.

How to be a Great Scientist

For Science, my group(group 1) made this presentation, explaining how to be a great scientist. We talked about making hypothesis and having observations.

Science Experements

Yesterday we had our first class of science experiments. My group(group 1) got to pick to do oobleck. Before we started our experiments, we first had to have and hypothesis(prediction) about what would have in our experiment, we had to choose what would happen when you mix a solid with a liquid. Will it become a liquid? Or a Solid? We then went on to do our experiment. To make oobleck, you have to mix corn flour with a little bit of water while stirring. Then once finished, we tested it. Our observations were when you use a lot of force to shove your hand into the oobleck it will become a solid. Then if you slowly dip your hand in, it will become a liquid. Oobleck is actually a non newtonian liquid and my guess was correct.

Decimal Problem Solving Week 5

This is our problem solving Pote and I worked on. We show our thinking of how we solve the word problem and also used pictures to help.

Decimal Word Problem Thinking

Today, Pote & I created a collaborative maths DLO on a question. This was really easy but very confusing since the question were pretty hard at first glance.
