WaterCare Experimenting with Sally
On Monday Sally from WaterCare came to teach us what WaterCare is about. Sally told us how our water gets to out houses and where it goes when the water has been used. The clean water goes through a blue pipe and the used water goes through a brown pipe. The water is now then taken to the WaterCare factory the dirty water gets put in a circle machine and the water gets clean. They clean the water by using a germ but the germ is a clean one. It is given a mane, Superbug because the Superbug eats all of the other dirty germs. Then Sally showed us an experiment then after she did it we had to do it. First we had to fill up three cups. After that we had to put two tablespoons of salt in the first cup then in the next cup we had to put one tablespoon of salt and none in the last cup. Net we had three food colours. They were blue, red and yellow. Meanwhile we tip them into each cup then use a tube to suck up the colours and try make a rainbow. Out next job was to try and mix the three colours and make other colours. I learnt how water is cleaned at the WaterCare factory and that salt water is heavier than fresh water.
