Run, Jump, Throw.

Today LS2 were lucky enough to have a joined session with both year 8 and 7 but this time we were outside. In this session, Andy taught us a stance in sprinting. Tips for a running stance: always before a race you stand one meter before the start line, then when the starter calls on your mark you proceed to the line. Just remember when going to the start line, you are not allowed to be touching the start line or else it will be count as a false start and you will be disqualified. Then when you are at the start line you put your preferred foot in front and other behind still having balance. Also which ever leg you are putting forward you have your opposite arm in front and other and the back. This will make it easier for you to have a great start off and will be very balanced. Also Andy told us the difference between a long distance race and sprint race. With the starter says ,"On your mark, get set, then the gun sound will go." That is a sprint race, but a long distance race is said, "On your mark, then the gun sound will go off."The last and important tip is that you always looking ahead so that you are not distracted and slow down. A big thank you to Andy for this fun joined session of run jump throw.

This was a great session with some important skills learnt. I can see by your blurb that you listened carefully. Well done!
