LS2 Group Speech Selections

We were put in our thinking groups then had to mark each others speeches. In our thinking groups, we all took turns presenting our speeches and then were marked on by the rest of the group. We were marking each other by a rubric made by Mrs Anderson.
Physical Exercise
Hello students and teachers. Some might already know me but my name is Sebastian. Just think about the last time you did exercise? Was it a long time ago? Well, to tell you it was actually worth. A really important part to the human body. In school we all went through it. We sometimes wished we could hide and wait for it to finish. For some of us we couldn’t stand going to the P.E class.
Just think without exercise, what would we do without it! And just think about how the whole world would be? So unhealthy, so lazy and wouldn’t even want to move! Personally, I enjoy doing exercise. It releases any stress in your body and relaxes your muscles. It gives us just that extra strength that we need in our bodies. I play for a rugby team, so I need to be really fit to survive on the field for the whole game.
We all should be doing at least some exercise everyday. Today, many kids are obsessed too much with technology and don’t feel like going outside to play. Technology is taking over children’s need of daily exercise and could end up to kids becoming obese as growing up.
Did you know that being physically active, improves your thinking skills and memory. One of the big positives are reducing the odds of having strokes, heart diseases, diabetes, etc.\
hink, of all the people who have either been diagnosed or even died because of obesity. In New Zealand especially, we have a high rate of obesity. The New Zealand Health survey has showed that one in three adults are obese(which is 31% of the population aged over 15).
A solution to stop obesity in the future is for us kids especially to go outside or to a friends house to play or do some exercise. This is a great way to let go of any stress in our body. We kids should be having at least sixty minutes of physical exercise a day minimum.
Really important to our bodies. It is good to just find someone or even yourself to go do some exercise everyday. It’s not that hardest thing to do.

Finding Fractions of a Number
For maths, we have been practicing finding fractions of a number in this game I have just played, the computer gives you simple questions and you have to answer them. The strategy used to solve these is easy if you know your times tables and division. In the example in the screenshot, as you can see I have took the number at the bottom(denominator) and divide the whole number by it. then when you have your answer, you times it by the number at the top(Numerator) and then you come up with your answer.
Forgotten Silver
Sir Peter Jackson
